About
Accessibility
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. This statement describes what we do and where we still fall short.
Last updated 2026-10-28
What we do
- Semantic HTML with one H1 per page and a logical heading order; a skip link to the main content.
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus outline; search suggestions follow the ARIA combobox pattern.
- Gender is shown with an icon and a text label, never by colour alone. Confidence labels are text.
- Uyghur Arabic script is marked right-to-left with the correct language tags, so screen readers and browsers render it correctly.
- Filters and pagination work without JavaScript; animations are disabled when your system requests reduced motion.
- Touch targets are at least 44 pixels on mobile.
Known limitations
- Some source titles and original-script forms come from third-party data and may lack transliterations.
- Pronunciation is given only where a source provides IPA; there is no audio yet.
